On 14 November 2022, Academician Akira Fujishima gave a speech at the 2022 Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week.
The 2022 Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week is held in Shanghai from November 14 to 18 under the theme of Together for the Future, Everything Grows. This is an important initiative and platform for Shanghai to accelerate the building of a world-class biopharmaceutical industry cluster.
This year's Industry Week brought together thousands of guests from the global biomedical field, including, in addition to Academician Akira Fujishima, nearly 20 domestic and international academicians including Dominic Jordan, President of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), 2013 Nobel Laureate Thomas C. Südhof, and Chen Kaixian, member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as executives of more than 120 renowned domestic and international companies such as Roche Group, Boston Scientific, Beigene and Merck Sharp & Dohme and related investors and medical practitioners; participating enterprises and institutions include 20 well-known domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies, 15 head investment and other financial institutions, 37 top research institutes, etc.
